Hosting
This website runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers and static asset hosting) as a static site: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and font files only, with no server-side application. Cloudflare processes technically necessary server log data (for example IP address, timestamp and requested file) to deliver and secure the site.
The liquidation calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Every value you enter (margin, leverage, maintenance margin rate, fees, funding rate, price) is processed locally on your device using JavaScript and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. The site makes no network requests to submit or store your inputs.
Live Bitcoin price (Binance)
The header of the home page and of the exchange calculator pages (Binance, Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, MEXC) shows a live Bitcoin price. To display it, your browser connects directly to the public market-data stream of Binance (stream.binance.com). As with any connection to a server, Binance therefore receives your IP address and technical connection data such as your browser type and the time of the request. No account or login is involved, and we send neither any data of our own nor any of your calculator inputs to Binance. Pages without the price display (for example the guides) do not open this connection. What Binance does with this data is governed by Binance's own privacy notice.
Traffic measurement with Umami
We use Umami Cloud (operated by Umami Software, Inc., with servers in the US and EU), a privacy-focused analytics service, for anonymized measurement of page views and of how the calculator is used. Your browser loads a small script from Umami's servers (cloud.umami.is) and sends measurement data there, so your IP address is transmitted to Umami with that request. Umami sets no cookies, does not use local storage or any other on-device identifier to track visitors, and does not track you across different websites.
Umami collects the page URL visited, the referring site (if any), browser type, operating system, device type and country-level location derived from your IP address. The IP address is used only momentarily to determine the country and is not stored. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Cookies, local storage and Do Not Track
This website sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. If you use the Dark/Light switch in the header, your choice (the value "dark" or "light") is saved in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. It contains no personal data, is never sent to a server and is not used for tracking. Nothing is stored until you use the switch. We do not track you across websites, so "Do Not Track" signals have no effect.
Fonts and scripts
Fonts and scripts used to display the pages are served from our own domain. The only exceptions are the Umami measurement script and, on the pages that show a live price, the connection to Binance described above. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or other third-party content delivery networks.
Embedded calculator
If you see the calculator embedded on another website, that website's own privacy policy applies to your visit there. The embedded calculator itself loads only files from our domain, sets no cookies and does not run analytics.
External links
Pages link to third-party websites, such as the documentation of crypto exchanges and blitzkurs.com. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies. The "Share on X" button opens X only when you click it; nothing is sent to X before that.
International data transfers
LiquidationBuffer is operated by a company based in the United States. Requests are processed by Cloudflare and by the providers named above, which may process data in the United States and in other countries. We do not control where those providers process data; please see their own privacy policies.

This website has no contact form. Contact happens by email to info@liquidationbuffer.com; any data you send that way is used solely to handle your inquiry.
Your privacy rights
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. The only personal data involved is the technical data processed by Cloudflare and Umami as described above and, on pages with the live price, the connection data Binance receives. Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. To make a request, email us at the address above.
For visitors in the EU and UK
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR or UK GDPR may apply. Our legal basis for hosting and securing the site, showing the live price and privacy-friendly traffic measurement is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the service.
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Children
LiquidationBuffer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
