What LiquidationBuffer is
LiquidationBuffer is a free information tool: a calculator that estimates how far the price of a leveraged crypto position can move before it is liquidated, plus guides about margin, fees and funding. It has no accounts and never asks you to connect an exchange account or enter API keys. It is not investment, tax, legal or financial advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to open, close or size a position. A result is an estimate based on the numbers you enter. It is not an exchange quote and not a guarantee of where, or whether, a position is liquidated.
No warranty
LiquidationBuffer is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, accurate or free of errors, or that the calculator matches the liquidation engine of your exchange.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Copperleaf LLC and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, LiquidationBuffer. This includes financial loss, such as a liquidation, from decisions you make based on information shown on the site. You use LiquidationBuffer at your own risk.
Exchange data, third parties and links
Fee rates, funding intervals and margin examples on the exchange pages come from the public documentation of Binance, Bybit, OKX, KuCoin and MEXC. Exchanges change these figures, and your own rates (for example VIP tiers or fee discounts) may differ, so check your exchange's own pages before relying on a result. LiquidationBuffer is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any exchange; their names and trademarks belong to their owners. If you believe a figure or statement on the site is wrong, email info@liquidationbuffer.com with the page and the correction. We have no influence on the content of third-party sites we link to.
Acceptable use
Please use LiquidationBuffer reasonably. Do not circumvent technical protections, do not run automated requests beyond what a normal visitor would make, do not attack, probe or overload the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may limit or block access that harms the service or other users.
Embedding the calculator
You may embed the calculator from /embed/ on your own website for free, as long as the "Calculator by LiquidationBuffer.com" credit link stays visible and unchanged. We may change or remove the embed at any time and are not responsible for how it looks or behaves on your site.
Intellectual property
The LiquidationBuffer site, its text, design and code belong to Copperleaf LLC or its licensors. Names and trademarks of exchanges and other third parties belong to their owners.
Changes
