Pre-filled with Binance's own fee structure and funding interval. Maintenance margin is left for you to enter โ it depends on your pair and position size, and we don't guess it for you.
Binance runs a tiered maintenance margin system: the larger your position, the higher your MMR and the lower your max leverage. BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT start at 0.40% MMR up to 150ร for positions under $300,000 โ but that's the top of a 12-tier ladder, and every other pair has its own table entirely. Check yours on Binance's own leverage & margin page โ before trusting a number here.
One Binance-specific detail worth knowing: in isolated mode, the closing fee is deducted from whatever margin remains after liquidation triggers โ it doesn't move the trigger price itself. That's different from Bybit, OKX and KuCoin, which build a comparable fee directly into the trigger formula. See Liquidation price vs. bankruptcy price for why that matters.
Notional $375,000
BTC/ETH Tier 1 is 0.40% (up to 150ร, positions under $300k) โ but this rises per tier and is completely different for altcoins. Check your pair on Binance โ
Counted twice automatically (opening + closing).
0.05% is Binance's Regular-tier taker fee โ VIP levels and BNB discounts pay less. Check your own fee tier โ
On Binance, the closing fee is deducted after the trigger, not built into it. See the guide for why this differs by exchange.
Only applies since Binance answers "No" above โ shown separately since it doesn't move your trigger price.
Most Binance majors settle every 8h. Some small-cap/volatile pairs settle every 1โ4h instead โ check your pair, not just this default.
3ร funding payments within the selected holding period (every 8h)
Only used to show a $ liquidation price alongside the % buffer.
Fill in your pair's real MMR before trusting this. We only pre-fill what's genuinely Binance-wide (fee, funding, trigger behavior) โ never a guessed maintenance margin.
Same maintenance margin rate, fees and funding as above. Exchanges often raise the maintenance margin rate at higher leverage tiers, so the real buffer at the high end can be smaller than shown.
Based on Binance's mark price, not the chart/last price โ the two can diverge slightly.
Isolated margin only. Cross margin depends on your whole account balance and isn't modeled here.
Very large positions may be liquidated in steps (partial liquidation) above certain tiers.
Auto-deleveraging (ADL) can close a position in extreme cases regardless of the liquidation price.
Assumption: no automatic margin top-up active, and your entered rates stay constant over the holding period.
