Bybit Liquidation Calculator

Pre-filled with Bybit's own fee structure and funding interval. Maintenance margin is left for you to enter โ€” it depends on your pair and position size, and we don't guess it for you.

Bybit's maintenance margin isn't a flat percentage of your position โ€” it's a tiered rate with a deduction term: MM = (Position Value ร— MMR) โˆ’ Maintenance Margin Deduction. BTCUSDT starts at 0.50% MMR for positions up to $2,000,000, then steps up per risk-limit tier. Every other pair has its own table. Check yours on Bybit's margin parameters page โ†— before trusting a number here.

Bybit's own position tab already shows this: the maintenance margin figure it displays includes an estimated closing fee, added directly to what's required to avoid liquidation โ€” meaning the fee genuinely moves your trigger price closer to entry, not just your payout afterward. That's the opposite of Binance's isolated-mode behavior. See Liquidation price vs. bankruptcy price for why that distinction matters.

Costs & Funding โ€” Bybit defaults

BTCUSDT Tier 1 is 0.50% (positions up to $2,000,000) โ€” but this rises per tier and is completely different for altcoins. Check your pair on Bybit โ†—

Counted twice automatically (opening + closing).

0.055% is Bybit's Standard-tier taker fee โ€” higher VIP tiers pay less. Check your own fee tier โ†—

Bybit's displayed maintenance margin already includes an estimated closing fee โ€” it moves your trigger, unlike Binance. See the guide.

Most Bybit majors settle every 8h. Some pairs settle more frequently โ€” check yours, not just this default.

Fill in your pair's real MMR before trusting this. We only pre-fill what's genuinely Bybit-wide (fee, funding, trigger behavior) โ€” never a guessed maintenance margin.

Compare other leverage levels

Same maintenance margin rate, fees and funding as above. Exchanges often raise the maintenance margin rate at higher leverage tiers, so the real buffer at the high end can be smaller than shown.

Based on Bybit's mark price, not the chart/last price โ€” the two can diverge slightly.

Isolated margin only. Cross margin depends on your whole account balance and isn't modeled here.

Very large positions may be liquidated in steps (partial liquidation) above certain tiers.

Auto-deleveraging (ADL) can close a position in extreme cases regardless of the liquidation price.

Assumption: no automatic margin top-up active, and your entered rates stay constant over the holding period.
