Pre-filled with KuCoin's own fee structure and funding interval. Maintenance margin is left for you to enter โ it depends on your pair and risk-limit tier, and we don't guess it for you.
KuCoin's own liquidation price formula puts the fee right in the equation: Liquidation Price = (Opening Value โ Position Margin) / [Position Size ร Multiplier ร (1 โ side ร MMR โ side ร Liquidation Fee Rate)]. The Liquidation Fee Rate sits alongside the maintenance margin rate, not after it โ so it directly shifts where the trigger sits. XBTUSDTM's lowest risk-limit tier is commonly 0.40% MMR, but every contract has its own risk-limit table. Check yours on KuCoin's contract detail page โ before trusting a figure here.
One thing that trips people up: KuCoin's KCS fee-token discount, which works on spot trading, does not apply to futures โ futures fees only come down through VIP volume tiers. See Liquidation price vs. bankruptcy price for more on how the fee-in-trigger model changes the math versus exchanges like Binance.
Notional $375,000
XBTUSDTM Risk-Limit Level 1 is commonly 0.40% โ but this rises per tier and is completely different for altcoin contracts. Check your contract on KuCoin โ
Counted twice automatically (opening + closing).
0.06% is KuCoin's base-tier futures taker fee โ VIP volume tiers pay less (KCS discounts don't apply to futures). Check your own fee tier โ
KuCoin's own liquidation price formula includes a Liquidation Fee Rate term directly โ it moves the trigger, unlike Binance. See the guide.
Most KuCoin majors settle every 8h. Some pairs settle more frequently โ check yours, not just this default.
3ร funding payments within the selected holding period (every 8h)
Only used to show a $ liquidation price alongside the % buffer.
Fill in your pair's real MMR before trusting this. We only pre-fill what's genuinely KuCoin-wide (fee, funding, trigger behavior) โ never a guessed maintenance margin.
Same maintenance margin rate, fees and funding as above. Exchanges often raise the maintenance margin rate at higher leverage tiers, so the real buffer at the high end can be smaller than shown.
Based on KuCoin's mark price, not the chart/last price โ the two can diverge slightly.
Isolated margin only. Cross margin depends on your whole account balance and isn't modeled here.
Very large positions may be liquidated in steps (partial liquidation) above certain tiers.
Auto-deleveraging (ADL) can close a position in extreme cases regardless of the liquidation price.
Assumption: no automatic margin top-up active, and your entered rates stay constant over the holding period.
